Commercial Uses

Not every business needs a dumpster to operate, but there are times when they do need to remove additional waste. Roll-off dumpsters are an excellent choice to assist with this. Whether it is a big or small commercial project, we are here to help. Just give us a call and we will be glad to assist you. This is important to ensure we have the correct dumpster size for every job.

Renting a dumpster is easy because you call when you need one, you fill it up, and then someone comes to pick it up and dispose of the contents. That makes a roll-off dumpster a great short-term solution.

Residential Uses

If you are planning a renovation project at home or just need junk removed, a temporary dumpster is the perfect solution. Project examples include garage and attic cleanouts, storm damage debris removal, new room additions, and even landscaping jobs. Our rates include delivery, pick-up, and disposal fees. There are no hidden costs. We are here to help so when the need arises, please contact us.

Roll-Off Dumpster Definition

A roll-off dumpster is a large, open-topped, rectangle-shaped trash container made of metal. Our roll-off dumpsters have wheels so they can be moved from one location to another if necessary. The container is dropped off and picked up by a special roll-off truck. Commonly, they are used to dispose of construction or demolition debris. There is a swinging door on the back for easy fill.

We highly recommend contacting our support team so we can assist you with choosing the perfect-sized dumpster for your application. Based on our industry knowledge, we can help you avoid filling a dumpster incorrectly.

Dumpster Placement

Before you order a rental dumpster, it is important to consider the size, placement, and contents of what will go in the container. Ideally, a flat, hard surface is the best place to set the container. We understand this is not always possible, so just let our specialist know and we will gladly assist you in the placement process. Another thing to keep in mind is making sure we have enough room to drop off and pick up our container. Our containers can be as long as 12 feet. We must have enough room so we can drop off the container as well as pick it up. Finally, different debris means different weights. Please keep this in mind as well when ordering a rental.

Tips for Properly Loading a Dumpster

Dumpsters are incredibly helpful tools when you're taking on big projects like home renovations, debris removal, or large construction projects. However, many dumpster users and first-time renters may not know exactly how to fill a roll-off dumpster. Yes, there are best practices on how to fill a dumpster that can help you maximize your investment in the rental, as well as help everyone remain safe during the project. Here are five tips on filling a dumpster:

Break Things Down

Whatever you are going to put in your dumpster, break it down as much as possible. The smaller you can break down these items, the more you will be able to place in your dumpster, which means greater value for your rental.

Flatten Boxes

If you are working with cardboard removal, it’s highly important to flatten all boxes. This can be time-consuming and a general hassle, but it will save you a great deal of space in a dumpster.

Bulk at the Bottom

Are you working with bulky items like old equipment, furniture, housing fixtures, and similar things? If so, place the bulkiest items at the bottom. Once you have a layer of bulky items at the base of your dumpster, you can start to fill in with smaller items. However, household appliances such as washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, and trash compactors must be loaded on top of all other items in the dumpster.

Fill the Gaps

Allowing gaps when loading a container means less usable space. Be sure to fill those gaps!

Overloading Dumpsters

One of our top priorities here at Coastal Containers is to make sure that every dumpster is safely loaded and transported to the disposal site. The first step to ensuring a safe dumpster haul is selecting the correct size dumpster. We offer our customers a variety of dumpster sizes to choose from. This way you can match the dumpster size to the size of your project and your debris removal needs. To make sure that nothing falls out or flies in the air during transportation, we require that you place all your debris up to the side railing - not above.

Roll-Off Container Benefits

Safer, Cleaner Workplace

Garbage poses a threat both at home and on a job site. Too much debris is very dangerous and can result in costly injuries. Not to mention a polluted environment. A single large container is much easier on the environment. The ability to collect more trash in one single trip is a big plus for reducing emissions.

Convenience

This is the best thing of all. Pick up the phone and give us a call. We will drop off the container. You keep it for up to 14 days and fill it up on your schedule. When you're finished with it, we will haul it away. By renting a dumpster, you'll avoid having to fill up your car or truck and drive it to the landfill.

Cost-Effective

By having a properly sized dumpster you will save money on any overage fees that may arise. Also, you will not need to pay someone to drive to the dump and back several times a day.
